YOHKOH SXT Image Find and Retrieval
The dates 28 Oct - 8 Nov 1993 are recommended to view the transit across the solar disk. The hole is over the central median on 2 Nov 1993.
YOHKOH SXT Movie (2.7 Mb)
The images in the movie have been processed to
remove the dark current signal, and been aligned based on the solar limb.
The limb is at the left-hand side of the frames. Saturation of the active
regions has not been removed, as it gives the viewer a better feel for the
changes in intensity when the flares occur. The color-table used is non-linear,
so that the fainter features are accentuated relative to the bright ones. A
normalization factor has been used to bring the Al1 and AlMg frames to roughly
the same intensity levels.
