CANOPUS stations are:

ESK = Eskimo Point
GIL = Gillam
ISL = Island Lake
MCM = Fort McMurray
PIN = Pinawa
RAB = Rabbit Lake
RAN = Rankin Inle
SIM = Fort Simpson
SMI = Fort Smith
Data Cautions:
- Steps in the GILL Z component for 93.11.03, near 0420 & 1150 UT coincide
with similar steps of lower amplitude in the PINA data. This strongly
suggests they are manmade, and we recommend that they be ignored.
- The riometers at ISLL, DAWS and FSIM are not functioning.
- Calibrations of the riometers at ESKI, FCHU, BACK, GILL, CONT, MCMU date
back to the riometer purchase in 1985/86 and are not to be trusted. In
particular MCMU has a weak signal and is operating in a very compressed
range; this together with the detailed numbers of the calibration used
result in apparantly too large db changes. These sites should be used ONLY
as a relative indications of absorption.
- Riometers at RANK, PINA, FSMI, RABB were calibrated in the interval
1990-1993. The relative absorptions indicated should be good within a
factor of 2, possibly better. PINA was calibrated 9308 and should be
reliable within 20% or so.
Note that the magnetometer data from GILL 93/11/02 04:40-11:50 UT shows
numerous disturbances due to Manitoba Hydeo-Electric Company testing of
current dump equipment. The principal disturbances at the beginning and end of
the interval are easily detected in PINA Z component data, proving they are
man-made
