GEM Summer Workshop, June 28 to July 3
--------------------------------------

      As discussed at our San Francisco workshop we plan to hold a GEM 
summer workshop annually. Few days are left during this summer on which
a gathering could be held with minimal conflicts. The GEM Steering 
Committee in consultation with the coordinators have selected the date 
of Sunday, June 28 through Friday, July 3 for this meeting. An attempt 
will be made to end the conference on July 2. However, until a detailed
agenda is prepared we are holding July 3 in reserve. The chosen sites is
Snowmass, Colorado. The plan is to arrive in Snowmass on the evening of 
June 27, and perhaps hold an initial reception that night. Sunday, Monday
and Tuesday presently are being reserved for the Boundary Layer Campaign
and Wednesday, Thursday and possibly Friday for the definition of the 
next campaign. Details on local arrangements and a more detailed program
will be forthcoming. For now it is necessary only to reserve the week of 
Sunday, June 28 for GEM. For further information at this time, please 
contact either Bill Lotko or Jeff Hughes regarding the planning of the 
next campaign, or one of the coordinators (Maha Ashour-Abdalla, Ted 
Rosenberg, and Chris Russell) regarding the present campaign.
     Finally please look at your calender now and tell us by return mail,
whether you plan to attend or not. If you cannot attend, it is important 
for us to know that as it is to know that you do plan to attend. Thank
