Note that the room reservation blocks at the lodging facilities are being held only until May 15, 1992. Please make your reservation before May 15. The meeting will be held in Silvertree Hotel, Snowmass Village. Snowmass is located 200 miles west of Denver, 10 miles from Aspen, Colorado. Snowmass Resort Association (800/598-2004) will assist with transportation and lodging reservations. Please acknowledge that you are with the GEM workshop when you call SRA. Transportation: --------------- The Snowmass Resort Association has arranged a 5% discount off any published Continental Airlines fare, 50% discount off Continental Airlines standard coach fare. Discount tickets may be purchased through SRA by calling the above 800 number. Denver - Aspen/Snowmass via Air (1 hour) Regularly scheduled air service between Denver Stapleton Airport and Aspen Sardy Field is available from United Express (40 min jet service) and Continental Express (1 hour prop-jet service). Denver - Aspen/Snowmass via Ground (3 and 1/2 hours) -Aspen Limo runs 1 van daily between Denver Stapleton Airport and Snowmass and will deliver directly to hotel/condominium. Call 800/222-2112 for information. -Avis car rentals are available at specially negotiated rates. There is no drop fee between Denver and Aspen under 200 miles. Aspen Airport - Snowmass (10 min) -For complimentary shuttle service to Silvertree Hotel, call 923-3520 upon arrival. -For complimentary shuttle service to Top of the Village condominiums, call 923-2301 upon arrival. -Taxi service is available between Aspen Airport and Snowmass. -Rental cars may be reserved at Aspen Airport. Lodging: -------- The Snowmass Resort Association is holding a block reservation until May 15, 1992 at the Silvertree Hotel and Top of the Village Condominiums. Reservations can be made through SRA by calling Central Reservations 800/598-2004. Note the draconian policies for return of deposits. Silvertree Hotel Rate: $75/night + tax; $15 additional per person per night room charge (children under 12 years free). Deposit: 50% of lodging due within 14 days of booking to hold reservation; balance of full lodging due 30 day prior to arrival. Cancellation: If reservation is cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival, deposit will be refunded less 10% of total lodging. If reservation is cancelled within 30 days of arrival, deposit is forfeited. If room is resold, 10% of lodging cost is forfeited. Top of the Village Condominiums Rate: 1 bedroom - $92 + tax; 2 bedroom - $112 +tax; 3 bedroom also available; $10 additional per person per night room charge (children under 12 years free). Deposit: Two nights lodging due within 10 days of booking reservation. Balance due at check in. Cancellation: If cancellation occurs 30 days or more prior to arrival, full refund less $25 processing fee. If cancellation occurs less than 30 days prior to arrival, forfeit deposit unless room is resold.
