Notice of Job Vacancy - Postdoctoral Fellow
-------------------------------------------

Research in the fields of high-latitude ionospheric and
magnetospheric physics with emphasis on magnetosphere-ionosphere
coupling and ionospheric signatures of magnetospheric processes.
Tasks will include analysis and modeling of incoherent-scatter
radar data in conjunction with complementary ground-based and
space-borne instruments. Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. in
space physics or a related field, with a strong background in
electrodynamics and an interest in ionospheric/magnetospheric
coupling. This position requires good communication and computer
skills. Research experience with radars is highly desirable.

This postdoctoral position will begin in early 1994 for a two-
year appointment. Applicants should send a resume, list of
publications, and references to Dr. John Kelly, Program Manager,
SRI International, Geoscience and Engineering Center, 333
Ravenswood Avenue, Menlo Park, California, 94025.
