FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT - 1994 GEM WORKSHOP
--------------------------------------

     The third annual GEM Workshop will be held in Snowmass, Colorado from
June 27 to July 1. The 5-day workshop includes:               
           Monday,    June 27,   Boundary Layer Workshop
           Tuesday,   June 28,   Boundary Layer Workshop
           Wednesday, June 29,   GGCM Workshop
           Thursday,  June 30,   Magnetotail/Substorm Workshop
           Friday,    July 1,    Magnetotail/Substorm Workshop
The preliminary scientific program (as of March 7, 1994) is attached below.

     Ted Rosenberg just mailed out a packet of information to everyone
in the GEM mailing list. You will be receiving it shortly. If you do
not receive it, please contact Ted Rosenberg at rosenberg at uap.umd.edu.

     Travel support will be available for qualified graduate students.  
Very limited assistance may also be available to non-students.
