Special Student Session at GEM Conference This Summer

We would like to announce a special student section for the GEM summer
meeting in Snowmass.  This special section will meet on Sunday, June 23,
just prior to the GEM meeting.  The section is designated an education
section and is aimed towards those people, graduate students and other
interested parties, who would like to learn more general information about
the geo-space environment. 

This section will be run by graduate students; and it is our hope that the
speakers will also be graduate students.  The purpose of this special
section is to educate graduate students (or other interested persons) in
areas beyond their own research topics, so that they will comprehend 
more of the information outside their related GEM sections. We are inviting 
all students that will be attending the GEM meeting to participate both 
as speakers and as students. The emphasis of these "student tutorials" 
will be on the basic properties of the many different processes which 
occur in the solar wind- magnetosphere-ionosphere system.

If you are interested in being a participant, or you have students who may
be interested, please contact Aaron Ridley (ridley at zasu.sprl.umich.edu) or
Karen Hirsch (hirsch at bu.edu).
