The two afternoon sessions will be devoted to the new WIND perigee events and the accumulation of new data sets involving GEM/GGS (ISTP) collaboration. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Thursday 1030 to 1200 CRESS events - Hughes January 11 - 14 1994 GEM/GEOTAIL - Angelopolous and Maynard. March 1993 events - Lyons --------------------------------------------------------------------- Thursday 1545 to 1700 02-08 UT, 9 Feb. 1995 event (0430 onset) - Lui GEM/WIND perigee events 1. September 16-17, 1995 (~20-10 UT). 2. November 29, 1995 (~06-20 UT) 3. January 13, 1996 (~02-16 UT). 4. 1996-087 March 27-28,1996 (1200 - 0700 UT) 5. 1996-109 April 17-18,1996 (2000 - 1400 UT) 6. 1996-130 May 9-10, 1996 (1800 - 1500 UT) Slavin and Angelopolous will lead the discussion from the satellite side. A list of onset times based on WIND dipolarizations will be provided in a separate message by June 15. We will overview the events and then prioritize them for discussion based on available data and interest. This discussion will continue Friday afternoon. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Friday 0800 to 0930 (Continued discussion of old events) 9 March 1995 substorm - Roger Summary of status. (This session is intended to wrap up discussion on the old events. Future studies with these data sets may continue as appropriate, but outside of the GEM Workshop environment) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Friday 1330 to 1500 Continuation of the Thursday afternoon discussion of the GEM/WIND perigee events. It is expected that this session will set directions for assembling the data bases for these events and pursuing the science that can be addressed.
