Subject: No GEM Mini-Workshop at Fall AGU

Dear All,

   Owing to the change in the Fall AGU meeting times this year, there will
be no GEM mini-workshop in conjunction with the AGU meeting.  I have
canvassed the various working group chairs and there were simply too many
conflicts or logistical difficulties.  In addition, many felt that such
good progress had been made at the summer meeting that an interim meeting
was unnecessary. Accordingly, there will be no official GEM workshop
meeting.  It is possible that some working group chairs or campaign
coordinators will hold small, impromptu meetings of a very focussed nature
during the week of AGU.  If so, they may contact you directly about their
plans.
