-----------------------------------------------------------------------

From: "Nicky Fox" - nicola.fox at gsfc.nasa.gov

MEETING PURPOSE

The workshop will provide a forum for discussion on Sun-Earth Connection
Events in the ISTP Era. Specific topics have been identified and are
indicated in the agenda below.

The first day of the workshop will comprise an ISTP Project Meeting,
overview presentations and two splinter sessions. Then there will be eight
splinter sessions on the second and third days, culminating with a plenary
section including summaries from the individual sessions and discussions of
future plans.

In addition to the workshop there will be a WIND team splinter meeting on
November 3, and POLAR splinter meetings during the late afternoon of
November 4 (PSI Operations) and the afternoon of November 6 (POLAR SWT
Meeting).

REGISTRATION

A web page has been constructed in preparation for the workshop, the URL is
http://www-spof.gsfc.nasa.gov/istp/admin/workshopNov97/. The web page
contains on-line registration, participant list, hotel information, and a
preliminary agenda for the meeting. The current agenda is shown below.
