First announcement: "IGPP Conference on Transport in the Magnetosphere"

                 September 20 - 24, 1999
                    Old Faithful Lodge
           Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.

The conference will deal with issues that are central to the transport
of mass, momentum, and energy into and through the Earth's magnetosphere.
Topics will include
     Magnetotail (plasma sheet and lobe) transport
     Transport into and through the inner magnetosphere
     Ionospheric convection
     Plasmaspheric evolution
     Transport across boundaries
     Sources and losses of plasma and energy for the magnetosphere
     Roles of microscale processes, reconnection, turbulence,
               BBF's, and M-I coupling.
