2002 GEM Telluride Workshop
Call for Participation in the Plasmasphere and Ring Current Session on
Techniques of Detecting Magnetospheric Density
----------------------------------------------------------------------
From: Mark Moldwin <mmoldwin at igpp.ucla.edu>
      Peter Chi <pchi at igpp.ucla.edu>

The Plasmasphere and Ring Current Working Group Chairs Dennis Gallagher
and Mike Liemohn will hold a series of breakout sessions in the Inner
Magnetosphere/Storms Campaign at the GEM Telluride Workshop (June 24-28,
2002). One of these sessions will be devoted to new or improved techniques
developed in recent years for detecting magnetospheric densities and
distributions. These techniques include but are not limited to the
various satellite imaging methods and the "magnetoseismic methods" using
ground-based magnetic field signals.

We are seeking presentations reviewing the capabilities, assumptions, and
limitations of relevant techniques. Interested participants please contact
either Peter Chi (pchi at igpp.ucla.edu) or Mark Moldwin (mmoldwin at igpp.ucla.edu).

The Workshop information can be found at http://gem.rice.edu/~gem/.
The deadline for pre-registration is May 17, 2002.
