We are soliciting your participation as a presenter, provocateur or
contributor to the informal discussions that the GEM MI Coupling Working
Group 2 (Electrodynamics of MI Coupling) will hold in Telluride, Colorado
June 24-26. Please let one of us know, preferably by email, if you would
like to have a few minutes to present a viewpoint in one 3 WG sessions we
will be convening.

MI Coupling Plenary Tutorial by Jim McFadden SSL/UCB:
Auroral Ionospheric Ion Outflow and Circulation of Plasma
During Magnetic Storms and Substorms

MI/WG2 Session 1 - How does MI coupling regulate field-aligned particle
energization? (Why is the aurora more intense in the evening and winter? 
To
what extent is MI coupling hemispherically conjugate and synchronous? What
processes determine the formation and structure, including length scales,
time scales and altitude, of auroral acceleration regions?)

MI/WG2 Session 2 -  How do scale-interactive processes influence the
electrodynamics of MI coupling, transport between the magnetosphere and
ionosphere, and ... (Are averages of energy dissipation meaningful? How far
off are they? What scales contribute most to energy dissipation?)

MI/WG2 Session 3 - Does MI coupling regulate (or how does it regulate)
magnetospheric convection, magnetotail dynamics, and sw-magnetosphere
coupling?
