The project will involve modeling and forecasting studies of the equatorial ionosphere and of ionosphere/ thermosphere/magnetosphere interactions for space weather applications. The applicant will be expected to analyze satellite data including the Communication/ Navigation Outage Forecast System (C/NOFS), DMSP, and other satellites, as well as ground-based ionospheric sensors data, for studies of the Earth Ionosphere.
