Tenure-track Faculty Position - Experimental Space Physics

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Dartmouth College seeks a 
tenure-track Assistant Professor to complement existing programs in space
and astrophysical applications of plasma physics.  Applications are 
invited from experimental physicists working on the upper atmosphere, the 
ionosphere, the magnetosphere, the heliosphere, planetary magnetospheres,
solar physics, or on related laboratory plasma experiments.  The 
successful candidate is expected either to develop laboratory experiments
related to space physics, or to design and construct instrumentation for
ground-based, balloon, or satellite observations of space plasmas.  In 
addition, the candidate must be able to teach courses at both the 
undergraduate and graduate level, as well as supervise graduate and 
undergraduate student research projects.  Preference will be given to 
candidates with potential to interact with, but not duplicate, existing
research programs at Dartmouth.

Applicants must send a curriculum vita, one- to two-page descriptions of
their research and teaching plans and experience, and the names of at 
least three scientists from whom letters of recommendation have been
