We solicit informal workshop-style presentations, which show 
observational evidence for or against the concept of local acceleration,
together with theoretical and modeling studies of electron acceleration 
events.  Prospective participants are requested to send a title of their 
presentation to one of the co-chairs: Richard M. Thorne 
(rmt@atmos.ucla.edu) or Danny Summers (dsummers@math.mun.ca).
