*************************** ** THE GEM MESSENGER ** *************************** Volume 15, Number 59 November 21, 2005 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Call for Participation: Inner Magnetosphere/Storms Campaign Session At the GEM 2005 Mini-Workshop, San Francisco Marriott, December 4 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Mike Liemohn The Inner Magnetosphere/Storms Campaign will have a session at the upcoming GEM Mini-Workshop at the San Francisco Marriott on Sunday, December 4, 2005, prior to the Fall AGU Meeting. This will be an open discussion of our future activities, as we prepare to end the IM/S Campaign at the Summer 2006 Workshop next June. A portion of the session will be devoted to discussing and deciding the final activities of the IM/S campaign. We want to bring the GEM IM/S Assessment Challenge to a close, as well as determine ways to bring all of our other activities up to a satisfactory level of progress. The second half of the session will be devoted to discussing ideas for maintaining the momentum and cohesion of the inner magnetospheric research community that GEM has help foster and facilitate so well in recent years. Anyone interested in this discussion, please come and share your views and participate in deciding the future of the IM/S Campaign. For information on times and room assignments, please visit the GEM Workshop web site: http://gem.rice.edu/~gem/ We look forward to seeing you there. +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ |To subscribe GEM Messengers, send an e-mail to | | with the following command in the body of your e-mail message: | | subscribe gem | |To remove yourself from the mailing list, the command is: | | unsubscribe gem | | | |To broadcast a message to the GEM community, please contact Peter Chi at | | | |Please use plain text as the format of your submission. | | | |URL of GEM Home Page: http://www-ssc.igpp.ucla.edu/gem/Welcome.html | |Workshop Information: http://gem.rice.edu/~gem | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+
