Preference will be given to a PhD scientist with significant experience in analyzing data from satellites such as DMSP. The Space Weather Center of Excellence is presently located at Hanscom Air Force Base, near Boston, MA. Under the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) decision in 2005, this division will move to Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM by 2011. The candidate should be willing to relocate from Massachusetts to New Mexico in this time frame. This civil service position is restricted to US citizens. Candidates should have demonstrated skills in creativity, leadership and communication. They should be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.
