*************************** ** THE GEM MESSENGER ** *************************** Volume 19, Number 1 January 21, 2009 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Announcement of the Workshop on Plasma Entry and Transport in the Magnetosphere (PET09) to be held in Fairbanks, Alaska, March 8-13, 2009 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Simon Wing We would like to invite the Heliophysics community to attend the workshop on 'Plasma Entry and Transport in the Magnetosphere' (PET09). The core motivation for the workshop is to clarify our knowledge and identify future research on the sources and dynamics of magnetospheric plasma with particular focus on the plasma sheet populations. The workshop will be held at the Westmark Hotel in Fairbanks Alaska. The hotel cost will be about $70 plus tax and the registration fee is expected to be $330 before February 15 and $400 afterwards.
