The nominal deadline for GEM proposals is always October 15 but because Oct. 15 is a Saturday this year, the deadline will be Monday, October 17, 5:00 PM your local time. Please be sure to select the GEM program announcement when you submit proposals. The GEM Program Solicitation is NSF 10-510. You will find more information about the GEM program at http://www.nsf.gov/funding/pgm_summ.jsp?pims_id=5506. Also please be sure to follow all guidelines and requirements for NSF proposals as stated in the Grant Proposal Guide http://www.nsf.gov/publications/pub_summ.jsp?ods_key=gpg. Note that all proposals that include funding for scientists in postdoctoral positions require a postdoc mentoring plan. Also remember that all NSF proposals now require a Data Management plan. Consult the Grant Proposal Guide for further information. GEM proposals must show their relevance to one of the currently active GEM Focus Groups.
