The tutorial talks presented at the 2011 Joint CEDAR-GEM Workshop in 
Santa Fe, New Mexico are now available online at GemWiki (see

files for these tutorial presentations are also available.

2. GEM Mini-workshop Session: "Plasmasphere-Magnetosphere 
   Interactions"

The Plasmasphere-Magnetosphere Interactions (PMI) focus group will 
hold a mini GEM workshop session, as follows:

  LOCATION:  Westin San Francisco Market Street hotel (50 Third St.)
                 in the Cornell Room
  DATE/TIME:   Sunday 4 Dec. 4;   2:30 - 4:30 PM

We invite members of the community to give brief (5 min, 3 slide max) 
presentations of their current research, or participate in discussions 
on the following topics:
  (1) Discussion of the GEM PMI Modeling Challenge.

  (2) Science and programmatic imperatives for PMI:
      (a)  ion composition/species in the plasmasphere,
      (b)  plume meso- and fine-scale structure,
      (c)  UT and longitudinal effects,
      (d)  wave growth, propagation, and resonance with particles,
      (e)  epoch time analysis (cold plasma or wave phenomena).
  (3) Publication of PMI Challenge results.
