This joint meeting consists of two sessions: The first session is devoted to reports from magnetometer arrays and discussions of ULTIMA operation, and the second session is focused on science presentations based mainly on ground magnetometer observations. The meeting time and location can be found in the GEM Mini-workshop schedule at: http://spc.igpp.ucla.edu/gem/pdf/2013_mini_gem_agenda_final.pdf Established in 2006, Ultra Large Terrestrial International Magnetometer Array (ULTIMA) is an international consortium that aims at promoting collaborative research on the magnetosphere, ionosphere, and upper atmosphere through the use of ground-based magnetic field observations. More information about ULTIMA can be found at http://www.serc.kyushu-u.ac.jp/ultima/ultima.html. This special forum is open to all the members of GEM and other interested parties.
