The preparation for the Virtual GEM 2020 Workshop is underway. The meeting will be held via Zoom telecommunications from July 21 to July 23 (11 am - 7 pm EST) and the student day will occur on Monday, July 20. We will try to maintain as much as possible the format of GEM, including plenary sessions in the morning, Focus Group (FG) breakout sessions in the afternoon, and poster sessions in the evening. Every session will have a host and two moderators. There will be no registration fee, however participants will have to register in order to join the VGEM sessions. The University of New Hampshire (UNH) will provide full-time assistance by hosting a separate Zoom room for any IT issue, as well as recording the plenary and breakout sessions.

The GEM 2021 summer workshop is scheduled to take place at the Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii, back-to-back with SHINE, our sister organization studying solar and heliospheric physics. Mark your calendars: GEM will be from Jul 26 to Jul 30 (with a GEM Student Day on Jul 25), and SHINE will take place the following week at the same hotel - please consider attending both! As planned before, there will be a joint GEM-SHINE workshop on the common weekend (Jul 31). Information will be available at the GEM workshop website as time approaches.
