(1)Akebono is a monitor of the inner magnetosphere. It is for sure that ISAS will keep running Akebono till the end of 2011.

Project Manager of Akebono is now Dr. Matsuoka (having succeeded Prof. Mukai).

Requests of Akebono data are to be sent to Dr. Matsuoka.

It is for sure that ISAS will keep running GEOTAIL till the end of 2012.

At NASA's Senior Review of the Sun-Solar System Connection proposals, it was approved that DSN (Deep Space Network) will keep tracking GEOTAIL until 2010.

THEMIS-GEOTAIL conjunctions are a reason of the approval.

(3) When you analyze THEMIS data, please also use simultaneous GEOTAIL

    data.

You can easily browse data plots of both GEOTAIL and THEMIS at a website called CEF (Conjunction Event Finder):

At CEF, GEOTAIL data can be browsed about two weeks after the

    acquisition of the data.  (To be more specific, magnetic field
    data, electric field data, and low-energy plasma data, can be
    browsed.)

(4) GEOTAIL data are open to public at a website called DARTS at:

     http://darts.isas.jaxa.jp/stp/index.html.en
    What are there are: 3-second magnetic field data, 16Hz magnetic
    field data, 3-second electric field data, 12-second plasma moment
    data, all till the end of 2005.
    When you have used the GEOTAIL data in your paper, please tell
    that to ISAS, for the record.  The DARTS website shows where to
    contact.
    The digital data of GEOTAIL in 2006 and later can be sent to you upon request.
    The magnetic field data and plasma data of GEOTAIL in 2006 will be
    made open at DARTS around this autumn.

(5) Project Manager of GEOTAIL is now Dr. Shinohara (having succeeded Prof. Mukai). Project Scientist of GEOTAIL is now Prof. Fujimoto having succeeded Prof. Mukai). PI of GEOTAIL/LEP (low energy particles) is now Dr. Saito (having succeeded Prof. Mukai). PI of GEOTAIL/PWI (plasma waves) is now Dr. Kojima (having succeeded Prof. Matsumoto).

Project Scientist of GEOTAIL at NASA is now Dr. Guan Le (having succeeded Dr. Fairfield).

Requests of GEOTAIL data that are not found at DARTS are to be sent to both Prof. Fujimoto and Dr. Shinohara.

(6) SCOPE is a mission for simultaneous multi-scale observations of space plasma. It consists of multi satellites, and international collaborations are in its vision.

The mission proposal of SCOPE will be submitted to ISAS this coming September. It will fall into the category of "big project" at ISAS (budget larger than $139M).

(7) ERG is a satellite to explore the inner magnetosphere. Collaborations with RBSP and RESONANCE are in its vision.

The mission proposal of ERG will be submitted to ISAS this coming September. It will fall into the category of "small scientific satellite project" at ISAS (budget less than $28M).

(8) ISAS will perform the above-stated Earth-orbiting missions, its

    Mercury mission, and its Jupiter mission, in a unified framework;
    this will be the characteristic of Japan.
